The warm lights of Bunnahabhain at dusk would hearten any explorer, whether arriving by land, air or sea. The distillery, built in 1881, nestles in the bay sheltered by the hills behind; it is hard to think of a better place to make our single malt. In this restful quiet place the only sounds are often the cry of gulls, the wash of the waves and the warm whirr of the distillery machines.
