The only problem with working in such a picturesque distillery is, now that we do not use steamers for deliveries as we did back in 1881, the road is our only traffic artery. The road winds over the hills and past Ardnahoe Loch.
With the Sound of Islay dropping away on one side and the hills rising on the other it is hard to think of a more pleasant and rewarding journey on the island.
That said, we do have to time our deliveries in such a way that they do not meet on the road... what with it only being wide enough for one.
'...it is hard to think of a more pleasant and rewarding journey on the island.'
