Our 12 Year Old Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky was the beginning of our Bunnahabhain core range, launched to fanfare and praise alike. Non-chill filtered and natural colour, taste the origins of Bunnahabhain with an alluring balance of sweet fruit, nuts, vanilla and a delicate coastal influence.

TASTING NOTES

NOSE

Sweet and fruity with notes of blackcurrent jam, vanilla, cloves and a hint of seaweed.

PALATE

Rich sherry and roasted nuts balanced with sweet malt and sultanas. A warming spice gives way to velvety caramel and a subtle coastal influence.

FINISH

Long and lingering, rich, full-bodied and a spray of sea salt.

UNPEATED ISLAY

Unlike other distilleries on Islay, Bunnahabhain is known for its iconic, unpeated Islay Single Malt Whisky.

A ROAD LESS TRAVELLED

Situated on the Sound of Islay, Bunnahabhain is the most northerly distillery, only accessible by boat until 1960. Now by single track road, it is an adventure for whisky enthusiasts.

TALLEST ON ISLAY

Bunnahabhain's pear-shaped stills are the tallest on Islay. Their unusually long swan necks promote a lighter, delicate spirit character as heavier flavour compounds can't reach the summit.

UNCOMPROMISING SPIRIT

Non-chill filtered with no added colour, Bunnahabhain is a robust, oily spirit that stands up to full maturation in sherry and bottlings at cask strength.

THE best tasting Scotch I've ever had!

"This Scotch is AMAZING! The smoothness, the Carmel and vanilla and spices are all so delicious. It doesn't Bite the tongue with smoke or oak. I don't care for either the smoke nor the oak of other Scotches. Adding just a touch of water, really brings out the flavors and the sweetness. Excellent! You will Not be sorry!"
